STANLEY PARK NO CARS
SPRING IS ALMOST HERE! Get ready to go for a bike ride!
THROWBACK to JUNE 2020! Last year, Stanley Park reopened to cyclists, with Physical Distancing. The regular bike lanes were too narrow so Stanley Park went CAR FREE turning the roads around the park into BIKE ROADS. Some drivers didn’t like this, but bikers loved it!
A good starting point for Stanley Park is to start at Denman Street, and rent a bike from one of the shops. In this video, the bike was rented from Spokes. 1 HOUR = $10.47
Riding on the road is much better than the regular bike path! More space the better. However, the road is not flat as the bike path. The road also goes up hill to Prospect Point and to English Bay. The regular bike path goes under Lions Gate Bridge.

The bike road you don’t see too much of the ocean or beach views because of the trees, but you get more space and more challenge on the hills. Maybe the temporary bike road will come back for special events or permanently?
