The Blarney Stone is an Irish Pub in Vancouver’s Gastown. The most popular Irish Pub in the Lower Mainland. They are known for live entertainment at night but they are also open at 11AM for BRUNCH and have HAPPY HOUR at 4PM. Perfect spot for St. Patrick’s Day!
The Blarney Stone building has been around since 1888 originally as a hotel! The pub started in 1972. Inside is very spacious. There’s a large stage, booths, and bar seating with old school vibe. Lots of TVs for sports!

Guinness Stout $8.40
Dark Stout Ireland’s most famous beer since 1759! Dark, delicious, smooth texture, roasted flavour! Some claim Guinness has HEALTH BENEFITS for an Alcoholic drink!
Perfect pour of Guinness with just the right amount of foam.
Shepherd’s Pie $16
Ground beef, mixed veggies, colcannon mashed potatoes. Comes with a side of salad. Very filling!
Irish Stew $15
Slow cooked lamb, potatoes, carrots, celery, parsnip, onions, with slices of toasted baguette. Very hearty!
Irish Coffee $7.50
Irish Whiskey, brown sugar, whipped cream. So good!
PRICE:
$$ FAIR PRICE. AFFORDABLE. Similar to other pubs in the area.
QUALITY:
GOOD! Not the prettiest looking dishes. but good portion size and tasty. Shepherd’s Pie was served hot, nice mashed potatoes and beef. Irish Stew was warm, should be served hotter. Both dishes are filling!
SERVICE:
GOOD! The server in the morning is friendly, and helpful with suggestions. Good timing with water refills and checking in on customer. Sign in at entrance, and hand sanitizer.
VERDICT:
Overall, SATISFIED. The Blarney Stone is the place to experience Irish food in a Irish Pub. Historic location, good food and good service. Enjoy the sports on TV or live entertainment.
