Castella Cheesecake is now in Burnaby at Metropolis at Metrotown! The soufflé style cheesecake is located across from Superstore and Foot Locker near the entrance of the mall!
Castella is known for cheesecakes but their cheese tarts are just as good. This location has a slightly different menu from the Robson Street shop. Here they have blended yogurt drinks, instead of soft serve buttermilk ice cream. There’s also only one type of cheese tart.
Yogurt Drink + Cheese Tart Combo $8.90
Oreo cookie blended with yogurt. One Size offered. Good drink and snack combo for people who don’t want to get a whole cheesecake, or box of tarts. Regular price for a drink alone is $6.45.
Cheese Tart
The cheese tarts at all locations and now are served without aluminum cups. Regular Price is $4, 3 for $10, or 6 for $18.

$-$$ FAIR PRICE. Affordable!
QUALITY:
GOOD! The cheese tarts are delicious, but texture falls apart easily with no aluminum cup container. Only one flavour of cheese tart.
SERVICE:
GOOD! Friendly, and helpful to the customer. They need to add more variety of cheese tart, a tissue dispenser, and utensils. Server forgot to give napkin with order. Eating cheese tart is messy!
VERDICT:
Overall, SATISFIED. Nice to see Castella at Metrotown! The selection seems smaller, but the items offered are a nice treat. Cheese tart and drink combo is the best deal. Would return!
