Cockney Kings Fish & Chips! Old school fish and chips restaurant popular with locals and students. Located near SFU in North Burnaby on Hastings in Kensington Shopping Centre. They have AYCE Fish and Chips on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! FISH! SEAFOOD!
This restaurant is spacious and bright with big windows. You can keep an eye on your car in the parking lot from your table. The interior is old fashioned British style. There’s less seats during covid so get there early or be prepared to wait in line, outside!
All You Can Eat Pollock & Chips $13.95
Comes with a soda! First round of AYCE Fish and Chips comes with 3 large pieces of fish and of course chips (fries)! After the first round, you can order fish only, fries only, or both. Keep ordering til full!
Condiments are served in individual cups so the servers have to work extra hard to serve these. One cup of tartar sauce is definitely not enough so expect to ask for a lot more!
How much Fish and Chips can you eat? The server said that the most she saw a customer eat was 26 pieces of fish!
Unfortunately, there is NO All You Can Eat Fish and Chips on Friday or the weekend, but the regular menu at Cockney Kings is perfect for any Fish Friday!

QUALITY:
GOOD! HOT! Fried fresh. Hot fish, hot fries. Generous fish portions, and fries.
SERVICE:
VERY GOOD! Name and number are recorded upon entry. The server in the morning/lunch is friendly, nice small talk, and checks in often for more ketchup, tartar sauce, and malt vinegar. The other staff help out with serving when it is more busy.
VERDICT:
Overall, VERY SATISFIED. Cockney Kings is one of those places where everyone and their grandma goes for good food and prices, with friendly service. Good for BIG eaters. Good location and good for the neighbourhood!
