WALKING TOUR

METROPOLIS AT METROTOWN

BURNABY

DECEMBER 2020

A quick walk through of Metropolis at Metrotown. Lots of people shopping for the holidays. This is what Christmas shopping looks like in 2020 pandemic!

Walking around Metropolis at Metrotown during the holidays. This video was recorded December 21, 2020. Located in Burnaby, Metropolis at Metrotown is the largest shopping mall in BC and third largest in Canada. This walk is only one side of the mall.

Indigo (Chapters) is very popular and because of Physical Distancing there are less customers inside the store. The line up looked long but moved fast. They turn people away and suggest customers comeback or can get registered to get a call from the store when it’s not busy.

Many stores at Metrotown are open with Physical Distancing measures. Christmas week generally is very busy for stores but this year has been bad for businesses and shoppers.

Not too busy during the holidays and definitely not as crowded as a regular pre-covid December day. Masks are required inside and many people are wearing masks in the video. There’s also 2 direction traffic signage but people just walk all over the place.
