Grand Opening of Peaked Pies Australian Bakery Cafe in North Burnaby! There are three locations of Peaked Pies: Whistler, West End and now Burnaby! Peaked Pies specializes in savory meat pies, sweet pies, coffee, tea, croissants, desserts, oh and BEER.
Meat Pies are like stews. They are popular in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. At Peaked Pie they PEAK the pie with scoops of Mashed Potato and Mushy Peas! The PEAK is like a mountain on the pie, inspired by Whistler. A fusion of West Coast and Australian culture.

Australian version of a French Pastry. It looks like cheesecake but it’s thick custard and very sweet with a layer of crust.
Nice Clean location.
Bright space with lots of seating. A nice feature of Peaked Pies is the water station perfect after sweet desserts.

$-$$ AFFORDABLE! Fair Price. Expect to spend $12-$20 per person.
QUALITY:
GOOD! Nice portion size and large scoops of mashed potato and mushy peas. Good flavours, salty but not too much. The mushy peas are awesome.
SERVICE:
OK. Service was fast, friendly and answered questions.
VERDICT:
Overall, SATISFIED. Peaked Pies Australian Bakery Cafe is a nice alternative to all the cafes in Vancouver. The meat pies are well made with lots of choices you’ll want to try. Meat Pies are not common in the Lower Mainland, so Peaked Pies has an opportunity to shine.
