Yewon Chicken and Noodle is a Korean Restaurant in Coquitlam offering Korean cuisine beyond typical Korean BBQ and Tofu Soup. Their menu could be described as late-night party food! Their specialty being Chicken and Noodles.

Hangover Instant Ramen Spicy $10
Instant noodles with seafood and spice.
This is the type of soup definitely for a hangover.

Sausage and Rice Cake Skewers $10
Chewy slightly spicy snack that goes good with beer or Soju.

Noodle Soup with Chicken $11.99
Kal-guksu Korean Chicken Noodle soup. This dish is hard to find in Vancouver! Not many Korean restaurants make this kind of soup! Delicious and filling portion size!

Kal-guksu is a Korean noodle dish consisting of handmade, knife-cut wheat flour noodles served in a large bowl with broth and other ingredients. It is traditionally considered a seasonal food, consumed most often in summer. Its name comes from the fact that the noodles are not extruded or spun, but cut. Wikipedia

Fried Chicken (Half) $13.99
Chopped chicken pieces homemade-style fried chicken. Different from mass produced chickens you’d find at KFC or Church’s. Some pieces are meatier than others. The breading doesn’t have seasoning.

PRICE:
$$ Affordable. Not the cheapest menu but the prices are in line with similar Korean restaurants.

QUALITY:
Good. Portion size varies depending on what you order. Large soup with lots of noodles. Fried chicken fried fresh but lacked seasoning. Definitely order a side of ketchup with the fried chicken.

SERVICE:
Good. Friendly. Fast. Not too busy at the time of this video.

VERDICT:
Overall. SATISFIED. Yewon is a unique choice for Korean cuisine, good for groups looking for hearty soups, fried food, and alcoholic drinks!
