The best Banh Mi in Vancouver is at Ba-Le Deli & Bakery.
This place is so popular, that they sell out of sandwiches quite often. If you don’t get there early, you may not get one at all.
Ba-Le Deli in East Vancouver Kingsway and Fraser has been around for many years. They bake the baguettes fresh daily, and offer a short but tasty menu featuring Pork, Chicken, or Beef sandwiches.
Note: There is another location (Ba Le Sandwich Shop) in Vancouver’s Chinatown but they do not have the same bread. Ba-Le supplies the sandwich ingredients but the bread is from different supplier at Ba Le Sandwich Shop. Confirmed by the owners of Ba-Le Deli
The sandwiches used to be $3.50 – $3.75 a few years ago, but has since gone up to $5-$5.50. Still quite affordable for Vancouver prices.
The Lemongrass Chicken sandwich is a special for limited time.
