Tataki-style steak, ponzu sauce, seared salmon sushi. You have a choice of salmon or tuna + avocado roll.

PRICE:
$$ Affordable. Not cheap but not super expensive. Fair pricing for this type of restaurant and menu.

QUALITY:
Good. Steak is tataki style thin slices. Sushi falls apart easily but good portion size and flavours.

SERVICE:
Good. Friendly. Chatty.

VERDICT:
Overall. SATISFIED. Nice place to have West Coast menu. Yes you could spend $28 at AYCE sushi restaurant but casual ‘premium’ restaurants like JOEY offer a different kind of dining experience and culinary quality.

TIP: It gets very busy at lunch. Sit at the bar to get served faster.
