The Flatbread Pizza comes in four varieties.
Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza, $7.99*
Chicken Parmesan Flatbread Pizza, $7.99*
Bacon Everything Flatbread Pizza, $7.99*
Simply Cheese Flatbread Pizza, $6.99*
Originally tested in Ontario, the flatbread pizza is now available across Canada.
The pizzas are prepared fresh with toppings and cheese, then cooked with a high tech Merrychef Oven. The oven can do two flatbread pizzas at once. It remains to be seen how Tim Hortons can handle high volume flatbread orders.
The Flatbread pizza process might seem similar to Subway’s toasted sandwich oven.
Since the pizza is prepared to order, they are served hot. Each flatbread pizza is 6 slices and comes in a unique box packaging.
Flatbread
The flatbread itself folds easily, the dough doesn’t have a strong flavour. There’s lots of crust because they don’t put the toppings to the edge of the flatbread.
Cheese and Toppings
The cheese and toppings are somewhat generous and overall make for a surprisingly filling meal.
Sauce
Not too much sauce.
Cooking Speed
Similar to getting a Subway sandwich plus toasted.
Verdict
Affordable, savoury, goodness. SATISFIED! Would order again!
At $7.99 the Tim Hortons Flatbread Pizza is cheaper than a Subway sandwich, and you get a lot less toppings to choose from. However, Flatbread Pizza is a nice addition to the Tim Hortons menu, where coffee, bagels, sandwiches, soup, and donuts can get kind of boring.
The Flatbread can fill that craving for melted cheese and pepperoni, and can compliment other orders. Marketed as a dinner option, lunch goers, students, families with kids will also love the flatbread pizza.
