StreetFest on Central is Burnaby’s Canada Day celebration going down July 1 2023. Located between Metrotown and Patterson Skytrain Station, the summer festival is a huge draw with food, concerts, and a fireworks show. Burnaby is the FUN city! The event kicks off in the evening at 6PM. That means you can have a family BBQ then head over to Burnaby for the entertainment.
The event is very well organized and definitely worth attending.

StreetFest on Central
6:30-10:30 pm
Civic Square, Central Boulevard and Central Park
An evening of family fun! There is fun for everyone including a family zone with kids’ entertainment and activities at Civic Square, activities for all ages along Central Boulevard, along with food, music, dance, artists and free live performances in Central Park. The event starts at 6:30 pm and ends with fireworks finale in Central Park at 10:15 pm. The event will finish at approximately 10:30 pm.
With two nearby SkyTrain stations (Patterson and Metrotown) and bus loop at Metrotown, there are plenty of ways to get to the festival. You are encouraged to take transit, cycle or walk, and please leave your pets at home.

From 6:30-10 pm, enjoy games, cultural performances, demonstrations, crafts, interactive dance performances, community art, roving entertainers, pop up musicians, photo booths, and onsite activations from Concord Pacific and RBC, along with additional interactive displays from community partners to entertain and engage spectators of all ages.

Civic Square Family Area
From 6:30-10 pm, enjoy activities great for the whole family. Featuring rovers, Imagination blocks, four animatronic dinosaurs and lots of fun games for the kids.

Can I buy food and/or beverages on site?
Yes! As part of the StreetFest on Central festival, there will be a number of food trucks located near Central Park. Also, let’s support local—we encourage you to try the many restaurants and other businesses in the area providing food and drinks.
