EVENT CANADA DAY 2022
FESTIVAL RECAP
JULY 1 2022
The first ever StreetFest on Central Canada Day event was a massive success for the City of Burnaby. Taking over a section of Metrotown along Central Blvd, to Patterson Station the street festival was filled with good vibes, vendors, music, food, concerts, and beer garden.
The Main Stage at Central Park with beer garden was for the adults, but there was a family section at Civic Square Bob Prittie Library.
K-os and Bif Naked were headliners and delivered such awesome tunes and much needed positive vibes, after a long pandemic!
Hit after hit from Bif Naked and k-os got the crowd jumping.
The place was packed! Looks like StreetFest had no problem getting people to this event right outside Patterson Skytrain Station and Kingsway.
With such a large turnout we can hope to see another StreetFest on Central next year!
As this was the first ever StreetFest on Central, there are a few things they can improve on.
- More trash bins along central.
- The event started at 7, but it should really start earlier as people are very hungry and will probably eat somewhere else. Start the event earlier!
- The event was very strict with their schedule, and there were no encore. The fireworks happened with K-Os left the stage.
