Destination Toronto. Our journey starts in Vancouver on the way to YVR AIRPORT!
Take the Skytrain Canada Line to YVR Airport. This is the most convenient way to the airport. This station is Oakridge and will take you all the way to YVR. You can also catch the Canada Line from Downtown Vancouver. To take this train you need a Compass ticket.
After going through security, there’s a Carl’s Jr at the Domestic Terminal. Carl’s Jr is a famous American fast food chain, known for charbroiled burgers. They also have breakfast. There are 3 Carl’s Jr. in the area – Airport, Downtown Vancouver, and Guildford Town Centre.

Leg room in this aisle is very spacious! This aisle is right behind first class, so the leg room space is different from the other seats! If you want more space book this seat!

The flight path goes over the coast. There are many islands off the coast of Vancouver, BC. Here you can see Galiano Island, Mayne, Saturna, Vancouver Island.

Food and alcoholic drinks on the menu are extra and they take credit card.

The second snack time later in the flight. Club Soda, pretzels, biscuit.

The folding table is hidden in the arm rest!
Convenient, and neat.
Leg room is very good for this aisle.
Window shade gets stuck and takes muscle to open or close.
Ventilation is good. Leave the fan air on to stay cool.
There are no screens for In-Flight entertainment. All of the MOVIES are streamed via the West Jet App! You need to bring your own headphones, and tablet, or phone to use the West Jet App. Or you can sleep or read a book.

Overall, WestJet Vancouver to Toronto is a relaxed flight, with good service. The plane was clean and the service is friendly. This flight can get very busy so book early.
Catch the free shuttle to the next Terminal for the UP Express the Train to the City.
Getting to Downtown Toronto is easy with the UP Express. One way is $12 and will take you to Union Station the heart of Downtown Toronto. You can also buy a Presto Card here. A Presto Card is for the local public transit bus and streetcar tram.
UP Express One-Way $12.35
The trip from Airport to Union Station is 25min. So be sure to factor that in when you travel that from Downtown to the Airport it’s 25 min not counting the wait time. Train departs every 15minutes!
While on the UP Express you can move to different train cars but for some reason this door wasn’t working! This train gets very busy better find any seat available!
UP Express is a traditional rail train, so it rocks side to side. It moves at a pretty normal speed for an ‘Express’ train. The seat was clean and spacious. There are plastic passenger dividers separating each seat.
Union Station first opened in 1927!

This is Front St, the entrance to Union Station. Here you can see a few famous landmarks, the Fairmont, next to the RBC building with GOLD windows, and of course the CN Tower. Take a selfie here!
Big city, big buildings!
Front St walking WEST toward Spadina
Here you can get to CN Tower, Rogers Centre (Blue Jays), Scotiabank Arena (Raptors, Maple Leafs), and convention centre. The water front is to the left and not far.
Bike Share Toronto very useful! There are many Bike Share stations around the city and different options for Day Trip or longer. Borrow a bike but it must be returned within 30minutes or get charged extra fees. You need the Bike Share Toronto app to unlock the bike.
