FILIPINO FAST FOOD
February 25, 2022 – It’s officially ‘Jolly Day’ Jollibee Day in Vancouver. Jollibee has officially opened in Downtown Vancouver. After much delay, and a pandemic, the Filipino Fast Food chain has opened it’s doors with Jollibee Granville Street the first location in BC.
The Grand Opening was so busy that the Community Police were called in to watch the crowd. The line goes down the street to Robson and around the block to Hornby Street. It was surprisingly organized, with signs and lots of Jollibee staff controlling the crowd.
However, a 4 hour + line up in the cold was a deterrent for many who drove in from outside Vancouver and had to pay expensive parking in the area.
Jollibee was offering outdoor heaters for those in the queue and for elderly, and families with kids indoor seating at their restaurant while they waited. The restaurant is operating TAKE-OUT ONLY, with no Dine-In.
Jollibee has locations in Ontario, and across Canada, but Vancouver seems like the last to get a Jollibee.
Jollibee brings a unique fast food to the mix with Asian and Western fusion. Fried Chicken, and steamed white rice. Filipino style sweet Spaghetti, and Filipino noodles, with peach mango pie.

$-$$ FAIR PRICE. Affordable combo meals. Similar to other fried chicken restaurants.
QUALITY:
GOOD! Good portion size and presentation. Food is served HOT and FRESH. Spicy Chicken is more flavorful than Original. Good amount of toppings in the Palabok and Spaghetti.
SERVICE:
VERY GOOD! Friendly, greeting customers and answering questions. Organized line, efficient ordering system!
VERDICT:
Overall, SATISFIED. Despite the long line up, Jollibee Vancouver proves that Filipino fast food is here to stay. Jollibee stands out for Fresh Fried Chicken and Filipino noodles.
LONG LINE. 3-4+ Hour wait. No utensils for Take-Out. No Chicken Burger available at the time of this recording.
