Lunar New Year 2022! Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant is a one of Vancouver’s most POPULAR Dim Sum restaurants! Located on Victoria Drive, Western Lake attracts locals and tourists for their morning Dim Sum. Let’s see what’s new in 2022!
Western Lake opens at 9:30AM! CLOSED on Tuesday. Lunch is over at 3PM. Dinner starts at 5PM. Dine-In is back with less capacity. If you want a satisfying Dine-in experience you better show up before 11AM if you want a table!
Dim Sum is small Chinese dishes enjoyed at brunch. Yum cha means drinking tea with meals. Together they are from Chinese and Cantonese teahouse culture.
The server will ask you what kind of tea you want to drink.

PRICE:
$-$$ FAIR PRICE. AFFORDABLE. Long gone are the days of cheap Dim Sum! There’s a extra charge for tea, sauce, and take-out boxes.
QUALITY:
GOOD! GIANT portion size served FRESH steaming HOT. Dumplings are filled with lots of shrimp and other fillings.
SERVICE:
GOOD! Friendly. The servers are attentive with requests. A bit of a wait to get food served depending on how busy it is.
VERDICT:
Overall, SATISFIED. Western Lake delivers a solid Dim Sum experience with lots on the menu. Prices may not be as cheap as they once were but it is still good bang for your buck.
