Pelicana Chicken in Burnaby (next to Red Robin at Lougheed Town Centre) is a global Korean fried chicken restaurant franchise. This is the only Pelicana location in the Vancouver area. Korean Fried Chicken has become very popular in Vancouver!
Pelicana Chicken is known for drinks and fried foods. Korean fried chicken is served with BONE-IN or BONELESS. Bone-in is fried whole chicken chopped up. Their menu is pretty straightforward, fried chicken, appetizers, Korean dishes, and alcoholic drinks.
There’s a good variety of choices, there’s even calamari, cheese sticks and onion rings!
You get a bucket for the bones and plastic gloves to handle the chicken. The spicy yangnyeom is very sticky!

Comes with a side of radish. Side dish of corn is extra. (If you’re a nice customer the owner might give you a free extra side dish).

$$ FAIR PRICE. Similar to other Korean Fried Chicken restaurants.
QUALITY:
GOOD! TASTY good flavours and FRESH out of the fryer! The chicken is served hot! Not the largest chicken but still FILLING. Bummer, you can’t order all drumsticks/thighs like KFC.
SERVICE:
OK! The owner is friendly, and helpful. This place gets busy so there is a bit of a wait to get chicken. Be prepared for a wait by eating the appys, and drinking alcoholic beverages makes time pass.
VERDICT:
Overall, SATISFIED. Pelicana Chicken is a good spot for Korean style fried foods and alcoholic drinks for friends and gatherings, also good for take-out.
