WALKING TOUR
GUTOM WALKS
ROBSON STREET – DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER
HEATWAVE RECORDED JUNE 26.
This short walk covers Burrard to Bute. There’s lots to see on this HEATWAVE walk. 35C or 95F! Summer is officially here! Robson Street is one of Vancouver’s main attractions known for being a shopping and eating destination for tourists and locals. Easy to walk, and central to other parts of downtown.
Dank Market is coming to Thurlow. Dank is a convenience store that sells limited edition snacks, and drinks.
Long lines for popular stores, even in a HEATWAVE! Lots of people as Vancouver starts to REOPEN. Still there are MASKS required and limited indoor shopping and dining. Looks like things are getting back to normal.
On a HEATWAVE day Starbucks good to escape the HEAT and use the AC and toilet there. Long line and slow service on this day. Many food service businesses are understaffed during this time. There’s also no Public Restrooms anywhere on Robson, so you have to use toilet at businesses.
Robson Street has nice outdoor seating. Maybe the Pilot Project will be permanent. You don’t have to buy anything to sit here.
Fancy LUXURY French bakeries have opened on Robson Street. LADUREE Macaron Cafe and PAUL adding a European vibe to Robson. Both Laduree and Paul are owned by the same company Groupe Holder.
Long line to see this French bakery. Paul is a French chain of bakery cafes established in 1889. It is owned by Groupe Holder and there are over 400 franchised restaurants around the world. Groupe Holder also owns Laduree.
