TABLES the new food court at The Amazing Brentwood in Burnaby is now open. The food court offers a variety of international cuisine. Let’s take a look and see what’s open as of June 2021.
TABLES is a very nice food court, lots of space, modern and bright with big windows. There are multiple entrances to the food court and different styles of seating like short tables, long tables, counter chairs, and couches.
Let’s start with some coffee!
Soon Coffee
This is a local BC business and the very first location of Soon Coffee. They sell affordable drinks, and pastries. Their donuts are supplied by Lee’s Donuts Granville Island, and Beaucoup Bakery.
The branding is very cool too at Soon Coffee!
Coffee Slushie $3.90
Very tasty! Nice slushie texture consistency and mix of coffee. Not too sweet. BETTER THAN AN ICED CAPP or Frappuccino!
Drip Coffee $2
Good price and 3 sizes to choose from.
BONUS! Tables in the food court have POWER OUTLETS and there’s WIFI!

Salmon Torched Sushi $11
6 pieces of salmon with mayo torched topped with jalapeno slices. Bite size pieces melt in your mouth. Tasty and not too spicy. Came with ginger, but no soy sauce.
A nice feature of The Amazing Brentwood is this plaza. Take your food outside and enjoy this nice plaza with Skytrain access. Tables with umbrellas and there’s a Starbucks and McDonald’s.
Starbucks is open at The Amazing Brentwood. Nice location with unique seating along the sides. Nice window views of plaza and of Lougheed.
Saboten Express
Japanese Cuisine
International Tonkatsu chain with over 500 shops. There are other Saboten locations in Richmond, BC.
Tenderloin & Loin Set $14.95
Tonkatsu deep fried pork. Nice light and crispy. The set comes with miso soup, rice, cabbage, and sauces.
So far, TABLES food court at The Amazing Brentwood is a new nice modern food court experience with delicious eats but there’s room for improvement.
While the selection is ok, some customers might notice missing from TABLES are typical food court favorites Tim Hortons, Subway, KFC, Burger King, Chipotle or equivalents. No burgers, fries or burritos in this food court! No Jugo Juice, or Booster Juice, and no salad bar.
Long wait times of 20-30 minutes for food at certain vendors during lunch is not acceptable.
Some businesses are still closed or delay opening hours. Saboten opened at 1PM. Pizza Garden closed because their oven was broken.
One direction traffic with security pushing people to walk one-way through the food court. Line-ups are a little confusing.
On the plus side, Free WiFi, good variety of seats, even couches. Lots of cleaners keeping tables sanitized and clearing trash. However they need to add more tables and chairs!
