NeNe Chicken is NOW OPEN in Vancouver. NeNe Chicken is a South Korea based fried chicken franchise with locations in United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia. This location is open at Kingsway in Queen’s Plaza. NeNe means Yes Yes!
Beautiful East Vancouver. This area is part of Little Saigon. Many Vietnamese restaurants here, but the area is changing with a mix of cuisines. NeNe Chicken is the newest Korean restaurant to open.
NeNe Chicken first opened in South Korea in 1999. They specialize in fried chicken bone-in or boneless with original, sweet, or spicy flavours, and SNOWING cheese powder or green onion toppings. They even have chicken burgers, fries, and onion rings. More offerings than Chicko Chicken!

Crispy Chicken Burger with NeNe’s secret creamy sauce, tomato, onion, pickle, lettuce. A little more than a Popeye’s Chicken Sandwich and so good!
The pizza box for NeNe Chicken is a good idea!
Original is so good. Nice crunchy and moist. Nice flavour.
Swicy is not too sweet not too spicy, it’s just right! Could definitely go for next spiciness level.
Korean Style fried chicken you see the whole chicken used rather than your typical Western fried chicken of drumsticks and thighs. You can order all wings or all drumsticks at NeNe Chicken. No all thighs.
No Fish and Chips at NeNe Chicken, but this coleslaw is impressive! Nice crunch, and sour flavour (good sour not bad sour). They also have radish as a side dish and Shack-Shack Fries.
PRICE:
$-$$ FAIR PRICE. Similar pricing to other fried chicken restaurants. The chicken burger is a little more expensive than Popeyes.
QUALITY:
VERY GOOD! Good portion size, cooked well, and TASTY. CLEAN flavours, not super oily, fatty or salty. Crunchy and inside is moist and delicious! Can’t go wrong with Original and Swicy. Chicken Burger is so good, and no skimping on the veggies.
SERVICE:
GOOD! Friendly, helpful. Good menu explanation. Quite fast to get order (2nd in line at Opening). Get there early or be prepared to wait in line!
VERDICT:
Overall, VERY SATISFIED. NeNe Chicken is the BOMB! The prices are right and the quality is satisfying! Better than Chicko Chicken.
